Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-05-29
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the jusInfer platform, API, dashboard, and website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Kalmantic ("Kalmantic", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, accessing the Service, or using a jusInfer API key, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Plain-English summary. You're using jusInfer at your own risk. We route your API calls through commercial inference providers and bill you for what they actually cost plus our margin. You're responsible for the content of your prompts and outputs. We can suspend abusive accounts. Pre-launch features may change.
1. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract. By signing up, you represent that this is true and that the information you provide is accurate. You're responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and API keys; share them with no one.
If you create an account on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. The Service
jusInfer is a model-routing inference gateway. We do not train models. We accept your API requests, route each request to the third-party large-language-model provider we judge most cost-effective for the task, return the provider's response, and bill you.
Specifically:
- The choice of underlying model for any given request is at our discretion unless you explicitly pin a model id in the request body. Routing decisions are based on signals including (but not limited to) request length, reasoning hints, tool-call complexity, and our internal cost/quality scoring.
- We may add, remove, or change supported upstream providers and models at any time.
- We make no guarantee about which specific model handles any specific request, latency of any specific request, output quality of any specific request, or continued availability of any specific model.
- "OpenAI-compatible" and "Anthropic-compatible" describe the API surface jusInfer exposes, not an endorsement, partnership, or affiliation with OpenAI or Anthropic.
3. Pre-launch terms
jusInfer is currently in a pre-launch phase. During pre-launch:
- Access is limited to invited and pre-registered users.
- Features, pricing, model routing logic, and the platform itself may change without notice.
- Service-level agreements ("SLAs") do not apply unless we have signed a separate SLA with you.
- Credits and pre-orders are non-refundable except as described in Section 8.
We'll notify you in writing (via the email associated with your account) before transitioning the Service to general availability.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
You may not, and may not permit any user under your account to:
- Use the Service to generate content that infringes intellectual property, violates privacy rights, defames any person, or is otherwise illegal in your jurisdiction
- Use the Service to develop weapons, surveillance systems, or any application designed to harm individuals
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related network
- Resell or rebrand the Service as your own
- Use the Service to compete with jusInfer (i.e. to train your own routing model on jusInfer outputs)
- Misrepresent the source of generated content as exclusively the product of any specific LLM provider
- Exceed published rate limits or attempt to circumvent quota enforcement
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without prior notice.
5. Your content and no-exploitation policy
"Your Content" means anything you submit to the Service (prompts, system messages, tool definitions, file contents) and anything the Service returns to you (model responses).
You own it. You retain all rights, title, and interest in Your Content. We claim no ownership of Your Content or of any model output produced for you.
Limited operational license. You grant Kalmantic a worldwide, royalty-free license to process, route, log, and serve Your Content only for the following purposes:
- Generating the response you requested (forwarding to the chosen upstream LLM provider and returning the result)
- Billing you accurately and producing your usage history
- Complying with applicable law and lawful requests from authorities
- Diagnosing and resolving security incidents
- Aggregating anonymized telemetry to operate, maintain, and improve routing decisions and platform reliability
This license terminates when the underlying data is deleted per our retention schedule.
No exploitation. Kalmantic will not:
- Use Your Content to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any Kalmantic-owned model or any third-party model on Kalmantic's behalf
- Sell, rent, license, or otherwise transfer Your Content to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties for their independent commercial use
- Use Your Content to build, improve, or operate any product or service that competes with the product or service you are using Your Content to build
- Claim ownership of, or assert any intellectual-property right in, model outputs returned to you
- Use Your Content for any purpose not enumerated in the "Limited operational license" paragraph above
This no-exploitation commitment is a material term of these Terms. Breach of this Section 5 by Kalmantic gives you the right to terminate immediately and to seek the remedies available under your applicable consumer-protection law.
Upstream providers. When we route a request to an upstream LLM provider, that provider receives Your Content for the purpose of generating a response. Each upstream has its own data-handling policy. See the Data Processing Addendum for the active and approved-for-routing list and the Privacy Policy for the legal-basis and subprocessor breakdown.
Your responsibility. You are responsible for the legality and accuracy of Your Content and for any consequences of acting on model output. Model outputs can be incorrect, biased, or fabricated; verify before relying on them.
6. Fees and billing
- Pricing is published on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice.
- Inference is billed in microdollars per token at a per-model rate, with a margin applied to cover platform costs.
- We use loss-defensive billing: when an upstream reports actual cost (e.g. OpenRouter
usage.cost), we charge the greater of that reported cost or our computed cost, then apply margin. This protects us from upstream rate drift; it can never under-bill you below the upstream's own price. - Credit packs are paid in advance and consumed by usage. Credits do not expire during the term of an active account.
- Seat subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel anytime; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Failed payments may result in account suspension after a 7-day grace period.
7. Taxes
Prices do not include any taxes, levies, or duties (collectively "Taxes") imposed by taxing authorities. You are responsible for paying all Taxes associated with your purchases, except for taxes based on Kalmantic's net income.
8. No-refund policy
All fees paid to Kalmantic are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. This is a strict no-refund policy:
- Credit packs are non-refundable in whole or in part, whether consumed, partially consumed, or unused. Once you complete a credit pack purchase, the funds are committed to the Service.
- Seat subscriptions are non-refundable. Pro-rated refunds are not provided for mid-period cancellation. To stop future charges, cancel before the next billing date — the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then.
- Pre-order merchandise is refundable only until the order ships. After shipment, returns are not accepted unless required by your local consumer-protection law.
- Chargebacks filed without first attempting to resolve a billing dispute with us by emailing legal@jusinfer.com may result in account suspension and may be challenged with Stripe.
If your local consumer-protection law provides a statutory refund right (e.g. the EU's 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Rights Directive, where applicable to digital services), you retain that right and may exercise it as described in our Privacy Policy data-rights section.
This Section 8 controls over any inconsistent language elsewhere on the Service. One narrow exception: if Kalmantic suspends or terminates your account under Section 10 for a reason other than fraud or applicable-law violation, you receive a refund of your unused prepaid balance as described in Section 10.
9. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, upstream provider outages, regional internet disruptions, and force majeure events may cause downtime.
If we have a written SLA with you, that SLA governs availability terms.
10. Termination and refund on Kalmantic-initiated suspension
10.1 Termination by you
You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard. Deleting your account permanently removes your data per our Privacy Policy (subject to legally required retention windows).
10.2 Termination or suspension by Kalmantic
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay for services, or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior. We will attempt to provide notice, but may act immediately when necessary to protect the Service or other users.
10.3 Refund of unused prepaid balance on Kalmantic-initiated suspension
When Kalmantic suspends or terminates your account under Section 10.2, we refund the unused portion of your prepaid credit balance to your original payment method, subject to the conditions in this Section 10.3.
Eligibility. A refund applies when all of the following are true:
- The suspension or termination was initiated by Kalmantic (not by you, and not by automatic expiry of a free trial)
- The reason for suspension is not payment fraud, chargeback abuse, suspected money laundering, sanctions or export-control violation, or any other ground that would make a refund unlawful in your jurisdiction
- You have a positive unused credit balance at the moment of suspension
Refund amount. The refund equals the lesser of:
- The unused prepaid credit balance in your wallet at the time of suspension (in USD value, at the credit-pack purchase rate), and
- The total amount you paid Kalmantic for credit packs in the 90 days preceding the suspension that has not been consumed by usage
Seat-subscription fees already invoiced for the current billing period are non-refundable. Consumed credits, billed seat fees, and any fees passed through to Stripe (interchange, currency conversion) are not refundable. The Section 13 liability cap does not apply to this refund — this is a return of your own prepaid balance, not damages.
Timeline. Refund is initiated within seven (7) business days of suspension. Stripe settlement may take an additional 3–10 business days depending on your payment method and bank. The refund posts to the same payment method used for the original purchase. If that method is closed or unreachable, we will email legal@jusinfer.com the contact email on file to arrange an alternative.
Disputes. If you believe a suspension or denial of refund was issued in error, email legal@jusinfer.com within 30 days of the suspension. We will respond within 10 business days and, where the suspension was issued in error, restore the account and apply credit for any lost service window.
Statutory consumer rights. Nothing in this Section 10.3 limits a statutory refund right granted to you by your local consumer-protection law. Where local law requires a faster refund window or a broader refund scope, the local law controls.
10.4 Survival
Upon termination, you remain liable for any outstanding fees. Sections 5, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 survive termination.
11. Intellectual property
The Service, including all software, designs, content, and trademarks (other than Your Content), is the property of Kalmantic or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right or license to our intellectual property except as expressly stated.
The "jusInfer" name and logo are trademarks of Kalmantic. You may not use them without our prior written permission, except to truthfully identify Kalmantic's products and services.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF MODEL OUTPUTS.
LLM outputs can be incorrect, biased, harmful, or fabricated. Verify before acting on model output, especially in production code, medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical contexts. Kalmantic is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on model output.
13. Limitation of liability
Cap. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KALMANTIC'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS, THE SERVICE, OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — INCLUDING ANY LIABILITY UNDER ANY INDEMNIFICATION OBLIGATION KALMANTIC OWES YOU — WILL NOT EXCEED ONE THOUSAND U.S. DOLLARS (USD $1,000) IN THE AGGREGATE, ACROSS ALL CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION.
Excluded damages. IN NO EVENT WILL KALMANTIC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR THE COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, EVEN IF KALMANTIC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, AND EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
Allocation of risk. The cap and exclusions in this Section 13 reflect an agreed allocation of risk between you and Kalmantic given the price you pay for the Service. The Service is provided at a price that would not be economically possible without these limits. By accepting these Terms you accept this allocation.
Mandatory law carve-outs. Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain damages (e.g. gross negligence, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence). In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this Section limits liability that cannot be limited under your jurisdiction's mandatory law.
14. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold harmless Kalmantic, its affiliates, and its personnel from any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your Content, (b) your use of the Service, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
If you are based in the EU, UK, or other jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, your statutory rights are unaffected by this section.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or dashboard notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
17. Force majeure
Neither party will be liable for failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, internet or power outages, denial-of-service attacks, third-party cloud-provider failures, pandemics, or labor disputes. The affected party will resume performance as soon as practicable.
18. Miscellaneous
Entire agreement. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Cookie Policy, and any signed order form or DPA between you and us) constitute the entire agreement between you and Kalmantic regarding the Service. They supersede any prior oral or written communications, proposals, or representations.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the rest remains in full force. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to be enforceable while preserving its intent.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms is not a waiver of that right. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Kalmantic.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms or any rights or obligations under them without our prior written consent (consent will not be unreasonably withheld for an internal reorganization or sale of substantially all assets). We may assign these Terms to an affiliate, successor in interest, or acquirer of substantially all of our assets without your consent.
Independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and Kalmantic.
Notices. We may give you notice via email (to the address on file), via the dashboard, or by posting a notice at https://jusinfer.com. You may give us notice by emailing legal@jusinfer.com. Notice is effective when sent for email or dashboard delivery, or when received for postal mail.
Beneficiaries. These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights. Only you and Kalmantic may enforce them.
Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
Language. These Terms are written in English. Translations are provided for convenience; the English version controls in any conflict.
